[2] Following the intro sequence, players are prompted to press fire to start the game or insert a data disk. However, no INSANITY FIGHT data disks were ever produced by the developers. Furthermore, release of the INSANITY FIGHT CONSTRUCTION KIT, which would have allowed players to produce their own scenario data disks, was flagged for early 1988 in the manual but was never realised by the developers either. A pre-release version of the game was found that features the constructions kit.
[3] Original release contents included an advert flyer for Microdeal games.
[4] The game was released for both PAL and NTSC with adjusted graphics.
TRIVIA: The animated parallax starfield in the game's intro sequence was innovative for its time; it used sprites but no bitplanes, so it could be easily combined with other graphics. Coded by ex-scener Christian Weber (SCI/SCA), the parallax starfield was used in many SCA intros/cracktros such as Karate Kid, Goldrunner etc. [Source: Christian Weber(intro coder), via his website]
