Notes

[1] Marketed and distributed by Mediagenic in the UK, Ariolasoft in Germany, Leader in Italy, and Ubi Soft in France.

[2] Despite what is written on the titlescreen and the original game contents (box, disk etc.), the game is indeed a conversion of the AFTER BURNER II coin-op rather than the original. In fact, if the intro is left to run after the titlescreen AFTER BURNER II is actually displayed quite clearly (see HERE).

[3] Almost every version of the Activision release of AFTER BURNER has a corrupted track 15 on disk 1, which causes the intro music to glitch for about 1 second in several places. The SPS version has the correct data, however, and the WHDLoad install also fixes the problem.

Conversion Notes

Based on 1987 Sega coin-op, AFTER BURNER II.

Pause the game, then type “TOGETHER IN ELECTRIC DREAMS”. The game should unpause and you should hear wow. Now use the following keys:

‘G’________________________More missiles.

‘T’________________________Less missiles.

‘<‘______________________Go down a stage.

‘>‘________________________Go up a stage.

Also try ‘D’ and ‘I’ for something.

If this doesn’t work try typing “THUNDERBLADE”.
