TRIVIA: Apparently SENSIBLE MASSACRE (and its sequel SENSIBLE MASSACRE 2) were inspired by England's failure to qualify for the 1994 FIFA World Cup at the hands of the Dutch football team. SENSIBLE MASSACRE allowed players to gain a measure of revenge by assuming the role of England goalie, with the ability to fend off an endless barrage of Dutch strikers by lobbing grenades masquerading as footballs at them in MISSILE COMMAND or CANNON FODDER style!
