Peanutbutter Power Game, The

Team Hoi's Peanutbutter Power Game was the first Dutch computer game that was custom-produced for advertising purposes in 1992, with the first application being a television commercial in which the game was played by kids.

Because the Peanutbutter Power Game was actually playable, it could be used for further promotional activities. The game was played by children in the popular television program Telekids, where players could win their height in stacked jars of peanut butter.

Reinier van Vliet and Metin Seven were present at the recording of both the television commercial and the Telekids show, and the game was started live from the Amiga Assembler. Later the source code was lost due to a backup accident, so the game can only be seen in TV footage, such as the Calvé peanut butter commercial.
