Notes

[1] Prequel to SUPER LOOPZ.

[2] Initially released by Audiogenic in the UK in 1990, the U.S. release of LOOPZ was published a few months later in early 1991 by Mindscape.

[3] Game supports mouse/joystick control.

[4] Seemingly, the graphics from the lead Atari ST version were utilised as-is for the Amiga conversion of LOOPZ without adjustment for the Amiga colour palette, thus resulting in the graphics looking quite dark and washed out in appearance.

[5] Distributed in Germany by Bomico.

Last known release: V1.00 (07-Feb-91) [U.S. Release]

TRIVIA: The original name for the game was CONVOLUTION, but was changed to LOOPZ for easier pronunciation. [Source: Interview with Ian Upton(game designer), courtesy of Amiga Lore]

Conversion Notes

Based on 1989 Audiogenic Atari ST release.
PC versions: Hercules, CGA, EGA, MCGA/VGA, Tandy, PC-98

N.B. Apple Macintosh and Atari 800XL versions were in development, but never completed.
