Established in October 2000 by Matt Risley, Ken Kemp, Jim Philpot and Andrew Reed after Crystal Interactive merged with another company in Hertford, UK to form ClearWater Interactive.
In 2001, Crystal Interactive renamed themselves to ClearWater Design and morphed into a web design/multimedia business, dispensing with games publishing altogether some months later. The change was short-lived and proved unsuccessful, however - ClearWater Design closed its doors the following year in 2002.
