Established in Ventura, California USA by Bradley W. Schenck and Michal Todorovic. Terra Nova's most ambitious project was THE LABYRINTH OF TIME, one of the first games to truly exploit the capacity of CD-ROM media. They were also among the first to use 3D modelling and rendering tools to create an ''impossible'', but photorealistic, game environment. The game was released for Amiga/CD32, PC and Macintosh in 1993/94.
In addition to game development, Terra Nova developed/published Magic Lantern, a true colour animation compressor and player for the Amiga, as well as a 3D object set for Imagine and Lightwave 3D called ''Diner Objects''. In June 1994, Terra Nova Development ceased to exist, with both of its founders moving on to game development jobs with The Dreamer's Guild.
