Notes

[1] Licensed game based on Orion Pictures'1987 cyberpunk action blockbuster RoboCop.

[2] Distributed in Germany by Ariolasoft.

TRIVIA: [1] ROBOCOP was one of the first games where the coin-op was licensed from a computer game publisher. Ocean licensed the game when the film was still being scripted, but retained the home computer rights and sold off the coin-op conversion rights to Data East. [Source: The One preview (Issue 4, Jan 89, pp10-11), courtesy of the Amiga Magazine Rack]

[2] In the identikit mini-game of ROBOCOP, players can actually construct the face of ex-Ocean development director Gary Bracey since he was one of a bunch of people photographed for it during game development. [Source: Interview with Peter Johnson(coder), courtesy of Codetapper's Amiga Site]

Conversion Notes

Based on 1988 Data East coin-op.
PC versions: Tandy, CGA, EGA
