[1] Originally scheduled for release on the Amiga in 1994/95 (along with the PC version), but was cancelled presumably because of the decline of the Amiga market. The rights for an Amiga release were secured by Epic Interactive in 1999.
[2] Requirements: AGA or gfx card, 68030+ or PPC (including Pegasos, RTG only), 16Mb ram, OS 3.x/MorphOS, 4xCDROM drive.
[3] Game contains speech in English with German, Italian and French subtitles. However, support for the French language requires installation of the update patch (see below).
[4] SIMON THE SORCERER V1.1 (Update Patch) is available from an outdated version of the publisher's website [courtesy of the Internet Archive].
The patch aims to optimise gameplay, provide extra features and solve certain compatibility issues. It contains executables for (a) AGA/RTG, (b) RTG only with 68040+ optimisation, and (c) RTG only with PPC/WarpUP optimisation.
Last known release: V1.1 (07-Mar-02)
TRIVIA: The game title was inspired by the first book, "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe", of C.S. Lewis' series of children's novels, "The Chronicles of Narnia".
