[4] GUNBEE F-99 is a clone of Konami's anime vertical shooter DETANA!! TWINBEE (aka BELLS & WHISTLES). Originally it received a shareware release as AMIBEE in Oct 1997.
AMIBEE V1.22(shareware demo) is available for download on AminetHERE (dir: game/shoot/amibee.lha).
[5] Soon after the shareware release of AMIBEE, APC&TCP and Crystal Software (Holland) sent expressions of interest for the commercial publication of the game to main coder Mr.Byte/TEG. He chose to sign with APC&TCP in Feb 1998 and enlisted the help of several support coders over the months that followed. The commercial version GUNBEE-F99 featured 3 additional levels and many graphical, aural and gameplay enhancements over the shareware version when released in Oct 1998 [Source: TEG game diary].
GUNBEE F-99(commercial demo) is available for download on Aminet (dir: game/demo/Gunbee-F99.lha) and the publisher's website.
