Notes: | [1] Created in autumn 1991 using Devpac, Replay-8, DPaint and Neochrome, the entire game was written by Jeff Minter except for the trees in the Oasis part drawn by Wulf.
[2] Despite being released as shareware, REVENGE OF THE MUTANT CAMELS is complete and uncrippled. The game was released for 4 Amiga configurations:
- 512K (PAL) - 1MB (PAL) - 512K (NTSC) - 1MB (NTSC)
Jeff Minter asked that the 512K version (rather than the 1MB version) be widely distributed by PD libraries etc. at the outset in order for there to be an incentive for people to register. A £5 shareware fee was requested for the game.
[3] The sequel REVENGE II was released by Mastertronic in 1988 - 4 years prior to this Amiga version of the original! Jeff Minter did not have anything to do with the sequel and made comment in the README file of REVENGE OF THE MUTANT CAMELS about how disappointed he was with the Amiga and Atari ST versions of REVENGE II (see HERE). |
