Notes: | [1] The English release was published by Manyk/Guildhall Leisure.
[2] Game contains a level designer and supports play via keyboard, mouse, joystick/joypad and null modem.
[3] FEARS is based on a 3D engine used in a 1994 demo produced by Bomb called "Motion: Origin 2" [Source: Amiga Demoscene Archive]. The demo was released at The Party 4 in Denmark and won 3rd place. A German review of the demo in Amiga Joker (Apr 95) can also be seen HERE [courtesy of Kultboy.com].
[4] FEARS (pre-release shareware demo) was released in Dec 1994 via Aminet (dir: game/demo/fears.lha). It was a lot more basic than the commercial version. Among other things, it only ran in a small window and the walls were green.
[5] FEARS (commercial demo) is also available on Aminet (dir: game/demo/fearsnew.dms).
[6] Other goodies available for FEARS enthusiasts on Aminet include:
- FEARS (level codes/trainer) program that allows players to start every level with 9 lives, all weapons and all types of ammo.
- FEARS V1.1 (datadisk) which provides new levels. |
