Established in 1987 by John Prince and Donald Campbell, Tiertex specialised in the development of 8- and 16-bit coin-op conversions [e.g. STREET FIGHTER (Amiga), 720° (Spectrum), 1943: THE BATTLE OF MIDWAY (C64)]. In the early 1990s they branched out and began developing for the consoles and PC, which they continued to do until the mid/late 90s when their focus changed to handheld consoles such as Game Boy Color and GBA. Currently, Tiertex is still owned and directed by Donald Campbell, and now develop mobile and handheld console games.
