Virgin Leisure (France) was established in 1990 just after the launch of the Sega Master System in France and in preparation for the subsequent launch of the Mega Drive. With managing directors Luc Bourcier and Jean-Luc Satin at the helm, Virgin Loisirs was a tiny entity of 5-6 people situated very close to Virgin Records based in the historic Place des Vosges in downtown Paris. Within a year, Virgin Loisirs, along with all Virgin Mastertronic's subsidiaries, was bought by Sega Japan and morphed into Sega France.
